Three astronauts have safely returned to Earth after completing a six-month mission aboard China's space station.

 


Three Chinese astronauts successfully touched down on Earth on Wednesday, concluding a six-month mission aboard China’s Tiangong space station.  


The crew’s landing module detached from the return craft and descended gradually under a red-and-white parachute, finally settling in the Dongfeng landing site within China’s northern Inner Mongolia region, near the Gobi Desert. Their homecoming, originally scheduled a day earlier, was postponed by 24 hours because of adverse weather conditions, including strong winds and limited visibility. The region is known to experience frequent sandstorms during this season, which can complicate recovery efforts
